On 31 August 2022, the Philippine Embassy in Dili held its celebration of Buwan ng Wika (National Language Month) at the Philippine Embassy compound. Among the attendees were Embassy staff, officials of participating Filipino-run international schools, students, and teachers.

Under the theme "Filipino at mga Katutubong Wika: Kasangkapan sa Pagtuklas at Paglikha", the celebration featured Filipino folk songs and contemporary poems performed by student and teacher volunteers from two Filipino-run international schools in Timor-Leste, namely St. Jude Thaddeus International School and St. Mary's Child Development Center. The participating students and teachers included Filipinos, Timorese, and other foreign citizens.
