The Philippine Embassy in Dili, Timor-Leste, informs the general public that visa applications are to be lodged online at www.visa.gov.ph for the following:
- Temporary Visitor’s Visa for Pleasure/Tourist (single-entry; for visa-required nationals)
- Proof of financial capacity (any of the following);
- Bank statement of the latest six (6) months;
- Employment certificate with remuneration;
- Proof of business income; or
- Letter of guarantee from the sponsor with proof of financial capacity;
- At least six (6) months valid passport; and
- $40 fee
2. Temporary Visitor’s Visa for Business (single-entry; for visa-required nationals
- For Business Owners;
- Invitation letter from a Philippine government/private entity or endorsement from a chamber of commerce (recognized by the host government) in the country where the business is located;
- Proof of business operations / income; or
- Business permit / license or registration;
- Bank statement of the latest six (6) months or tax payments;
- Proof of hotel accommodation or lodging; and
- $40 fee
- For Employees:
- Certificate of employment in a managerial level or higher;
- Invitation letter from a Philippine government agency/private entity;
- Endorsement letter from the applicant’s company;
- Employment certificate with remuneration or letter of guarantee from the company/sponsor;
- Proof of hotel accommodation or lodging; and
- $40 fee
3. *9(a) visa for applicants from Religious Sector going to the Philippines to attend purposes/congregation, conference, training, among others:
- Letter of Invitation from the congregation in the Philippines;
- Letter from the congregation in Timor-Leste;
- Bank statement of the latest six (6) months or Letter of guarantee from the sponsor with proof of financial capacity;
- Proof of hotel accommodation or lodging; and
- $40 payment
4. **Missionary visas need prior authority from the Office of Consular Affairs of the Department of Foreign Affairs prior to Dili PE’s issuance, upon submission of the following additional requirements:
- Certificate of No Criminal Record from the Ministry of Justice duly attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation;
- Sponsorship/endorsement letter from religious organization in country of origin;
- Guarantee letter from the inviting entity in the Philippines; and Certificate of accreditation of sending religious organization (if available); and
- Medical health certificate with x-ray result from HNGV authenticated by the Ministry of Justice.
*The turn-around time is at least five (5) to seven (7) working days from the receipt of complete documentary requirements.
**The processing time will take at least one (1) month from the date of application. (Missionary visa)
THE FOLLOWING VISA APPLICANTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO LODGE ONLINE APPLICATION BUT MUST FILL-OUT THE MANUAL VISA FORM AT THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY UPON SUBMISSION OF COMPLETE REQUIREMENTS: Visa application form
1. Foreign Government Officials to be assigned to a diplomatic mission, consular post, or international organization representative office, or to attend an official activity in the Philippines:
- Letter from the applicants’ office addressed to the Philippine Embassy authorizing the applicant to go to the Philippines for official travel and a Note Verbale from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, International Organization, or National Government Institution;
- At least Six (6) months valid passport; and
- Proof of hotel accommodation or lodging
Visas for foreign government officials must be filed at least one (1) month in advance, to give ample time for the visa application processing, release of authorization from the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, and issuance.
2. For students to enroll in the Philippines (in preparation for the schools’ endorsement/application of students’ visas)
- Notice/Letter of acceptance from the respective schools/University;
- One 2x2 or passport sized photo with white background, taken at the latest 3 months;
- At least Six (6) months valid passport;
- Birth Certificate authenticated by the Ministry of Justice;
- Certificate of No Criminal Record from the Ministry of Justice duly attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation;
- Medical health certificate with x-ray result from HNGV authenticated by the Ministry of Justice; and
- $40 fee
All visa applicants are advised to contact the Philippine Embassy in advance to know more about visa requirements and procedures before finalizing a flight/travel itinerary.
The visa officer may require the submission of additional documents, as necessary.
