17 April 2023 – Her Excellency Belinda M. Ante, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of the Philippines to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, arrived at the President Nicolau Lobato Airport in Dili yesterday morning, 16 April 2023 for her latest foreign assignment.

Ambassador-designate Ante was welcomed by personnel of the Philippine Embassy in Dili, Heads and Representatives of Missions of ASEAN Member States, and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MOFAC) of Timor-Leste at the Airport VIP Lounge. She received bouquets of flowers and the ceremonial tais, a Timorese traditional garment that is draped around the shoulders of its bearer, from both the Embassy and MOFAC.

To mark the day of arrival of Ambassador-designate Ante, First Secretary and Consul Dean Jason N. Arriola hosted a casual brunch gathering in her honor with all Embassy personnel in attendance.

Ambassador-designate Ante, a career Chief of Mission, is the sixth Resident Philippine Ambassador to Timor-Leste and seventh overall. END
