Philippine Embassy in Dili Hosts Inter-Agency Services Mission for the Filipino Community in Timor-Leste

Filipinos in Timor-Leste avail of services of DMW, OWWA, and PhilHealth during the four-day Inter-Agency Services Mission hosted by the Philippine Embassy in Dili from 25 to 28 October 2024.

29 October 2024 – The Philippine Embassy in Dili hosted a four-day inter-agency services mission from 25 to 28 October 2024 to provide onsite services and assistance to the Filipino community in Timor-Leste.

The mission was composed of representatives from the offices of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers’ Welfare Administration (OWWA) in Singapore; and the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) from the Philippines. A total of 409 services were rendered, addressing a range of needs for the over 1,400 Filipinos residing in Timor-Leste. The mission included a question-and-answer (Q&A) session to provide the community an opportunity to ask questions directly to the attending representatives and address their concerns.

The initiative underscores the commitment of the Philippine Government to provide assistance and support for overseas Filipinos in every corner of the world.

The Inter-Agency Services Mission team members were Atty. Mauro Cabading, Ms. Rosario Bautista, Ms. Kimberly Paat, and Mr. Ronald Alo of PhilHealth; Mss. Laarni Cordova and Iona Mae Buen of the Migrant Workers’ Office (MWO) in Singapore; and Mss. Marylou Bibanco and Lenina Saldi of OWWA Singapore. END
